About the International Spring Course (IFK)
Welcome to the International Spring Course (IFK) of Justus Liebig University Giessen!

With around 40,000 students in relation to a population of 84,000 inhabitants, Giessen is the town with the highest ratio of students all over Germany - and you, too, can become part of this student body by signing up for our "International Spring Course".
For more than twenty years we have been happy to provide international students and visitors with personal counselling and to prepare undergraduate and postgraduate students, visiting researchers, and teachers from all over the world for academic and everyday life at Justus Liebig University and in Giessen.
A trained team of organizers and student mentors will accompany you and your international fellow students throughout the four-week course. You will meet your fellow students even before the start of the lectures. Within four weeks we will explore all aspects of campus life as well as the culture and lifestyle of the city of Giessen. Workshops will help you to get started with the German language or to brush up your German language skills. Active workshops for the whole group and exciting trips to various places in Germany offer the perfect balance
