meet2succeed - Subject-specific Tutorial Programme for International Students in English-language Master's Programmes

In the framework of the DAAD-funded project "meet2succeed", the International Office is currently setting up a subject-specific tutorial programme in English-language Master's degree programmes in cooperation with the departments. The aim of the programme is to make it easier for international JLU students to get started in Germany and in the German higher education system. This STIBET II model project focuses on five English-language Master's programmes at two departments, in particular the Anglophone Studies and Choreography and Performance programmes at Department 05 and Agrobiotechnology, Insect Biotechnology and Bioresources and Transition Management at Department 09. The offer is aimed at international students of these Master's programmes in the 1st and 2nd semester.

Three building blocks of the subject tutorial programme are:

Possible topics of discussion include finding one's way in the German higher education system, academic challenges, current difficulties, aspects of immigration law and social integration. All students are invited to two interviews.

3. Language courses

Good German language skills are essential for good integration and for gaining a foothold in the German job market during or after graduation. A sufficient knowledge of English is also a necessary basis for successful studies. Specially tailored language courses are offered.
