Validity of vaccinations administered in foreign countries
- Individuals who have been vaccinated with foreign-approved versions of EU-approved vaccines can have their vaccination certificate converted into a vaccination certificate valid in the EU. A list of the corresponding vaccines, their authorisations and names in third countries is provided by the Paul Ehrlich Institute: www.pei.de/DE/newsroom/dossier/coronavirus/coronavirus-inhalt.html?nn=169730&cms_pos=3
- Individuals vaccinated with vaccines not licensed in the EU are considered to be unvaccinated. According to information from the STIKO, a new vaccination series with a vaccine approved in the EU can be carried out in this case after an appropriate time interval and individual medical consultation, see www.rki.de/SharedDocs/FAQ/COVID-Impfen/gesamt.html in the section "Durchführung der Covid-19-Impfung".
