The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) has expanded its support for refugee scientists and offers various options for submitting proposals or becoming involved in projects.
- Walter Benjamin posts
- The Walter Benjamin Programme enables academics in the qualification phase following their doctorate to independently implement their own research project at the location of their choice.
- Supplemental proposals / integration into current funding
- Supplementary applications can be submitted to integrate refugee researchers into ongoing DFG projects.
- Special programme for Ukraine
- As of September 2022, new project applications for cooperation with partners in Ukraine can include funding for the living expenses of project leaders who are in Ukraine.
