Addiction Prevention

Addiction is not only challenging for those directly affected. Even as a superior, colleague or relative, you quickly start to wonder about how to behave "correctly" and what needs to be done. In order not to leave you on your own, JLU offers a wide range of services - completely free of charge:

  • Representatives of the Office for Addiction Problems at the Workplace: You can contact Miriam Schäfer (0641/99-12351; ) for all concerns and questions about this topic.
  • Diaconal Office for Addiction Assistance: JLU has been cooperating with the diaconal institution (Diakonie) for many years. Because of that all employees of our university have access to the wide range of confidential services the institution offers free of charge: strictly confidential counseling for both, those directly affected and their relatives, colleagues and superiors indirectly affected, motivational and informational groups as well as support groups.
