Participation & Registration
When do the Teaching Futures 2025 start and end?
The event begins on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the main building of Justus Liebig University Giessen and ends on Friday, May 23, 2025, at approximately 1:00 PM (CEST) online. The exact event schedule can be found in the conference program. The access link for Friday, May 23, 2025, will be sent to registered participants via email in advance.
Who can participate in Teaching Futures 2025?
The event is open to lecturers, students, and anyone interested from all universities, faculties, and institutions.
How do I register?
Registration for Teaching Futures 2025 is now open. After successfully registering, you will receive an automatic confirmation via email. Register here.
Can I participate on only one day?
Yes, you can register for just one day of the event. In the registration form, you can specify which days you wish to attend.
Will Teaching Futures 2025 take place in person or online?

- Friday, May 23, 2025 – Online-only event
I can no longer attend. Can I cancel my registration?

In which language will the event take place?
- Thursday, May 22, 2025: The event will be held in German.
- Friday, May 23, 2025: The event will be held in English.
Is there a conference fee?
No, participation in the event is free of charge for all attendees.
Will travel expenses be reimbursed?
No, travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
Is the event accessible?
All rooms in the main building are wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, we cannot provide personal assistants on-site. If needed, please ensure you are accompanied by a support person.
Online participation on May 23, 2025, will take place via GatherTown. However, GatherTown is not fully accessible.
Will there be a livestream of on-site sessions?
No, sessions and workshops on May 22, 2025, will not be streamed and cannot be attended online.
Will sessions be recorded?
The keynotes of both days as well as the impulse talks of the first day will be recorded and will probably be made available online in the NIDIT media library after the conference.
Will there be vegan and vegetarian catering options at the conference?
Yes, during the conference, only vegan and vegetarian snack options will be available. However, please note that these are intended as light refreshments during the event and do not replace a full meal. If you have specific dietary needs, we recommend making the necessary preparations in advance.
Will photos be taken at the conference?
Yes, a photographer will be present at the event, and photos will be taken throughout the conference. The images will be used by the university for public relations and marketing purposes in various media, such as print publications, online platforms, and social networks.
