Since 2002, Jürgen Meckl has been head of a subproject in the research group “Heterogeneous Labor: Positive and Normative Aspects of the Skill Structure of Labor”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), at the University of Konstanz in collaboration with the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim. Moreover, he has been a research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn since 2001 and member of the Verein für Socialpolitik (Research Committee for International Economics), the American Economic Association, the European Economic Association and of the European Association of Labour Economists.
