Module description


The course "Economic Experiments and Labor Markets" is part of the Bachelor of Science major "Economics". The module is structured as a lecture with integrated exercises and takes place every summer semester. It is taught jointly by the Chair of Behavioral and Institutional Economics of Prof. Dr. Max Albert (first half of the semester) and the Chair of International Economic Relations of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Meckl (second half).

The module covers aspects from the following areas of experimental economics and labor economics, among others:

  • Fundamentals of experimental economics
  • Labor markets in experiments
  • Minimum wages
  • Efficiency wage theory
  • Trade union behavior
