International Economic Relations

Module description

 

The course "International Economic Relations" is one of the compulsory modules of the Bachelor of Science majors "International Economics" and "Economics and Geography". It is divided into a lecture and a separate tutorial and takes place every winter semester. The course is usually held in German, if required in exceptional cases in English.

The module content includes aspects from the following areas of foreign trade theory and policy:

  • Explanation of trade structures
  • Efficiency and distributional effects of trade and globalization
  • Instruments of trade policy and their effects
  • Trade policy of developing countries
