"Neurobiological aspects of womens' reactivity towards emotional cues in dependence of the menstrual cycle" (36 months) (MU 4385/2-1)

Aim of the study is to detect associations of cycle-dependent endocrine changes (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone) with neural reactivity (event-related potentials) towards highly salient positive emotional stimuli over the course of the female menstrual cycle. Both women with and without intake of oral contraceptives will be examined in order to study possible effects of oral contraceptive use on neural reactivity.
