Subproject 0 - Coordination
ICON Coordination: Logistics, Information Management and Regional Development Path-ways
SP0 is conceived for coordination of the ICON research activities, elaboration of scientific priorities with IRRI, and for internal and external scientific exchange. Major accomplishments of SP0 in ICON Phase I include establishment and continuation of the cooperation with both IRRI farm man-agement and the local coordinator. For the ICON Phase II, the current objectives (scientific co-ordination and exchange) will be complemented by two new objectives: (3) regionalization and (4) scientific integration and synthesis. Future tasks include adjustment of the central ICON field experiment for accommodating the new treatments resulting from new research questions, adapting the project management structure to new scien-tific foci, management of research at additional sites remote from IRRI and guaranteeing added value by synthesis and reviews.
