Welcome to the homepage of the Professorship of Nutrition & Immune System!
The Professorship of Nutrition & Immune System is interested in bioactive plant compounds and how they can affect processes of the immune system. In nature, these compounds serve on the one hand to color the fruits and on the other hand to defend against predators. It has long been assumed that these bioactive plant compounds are partly responsible for the observed positive effects associated with an increased fruit and vegetable intake.
In teaching, we offer various core and profile modules in the bachelor's degree program in Nutritional Sciences and Ecotrophology and in the master's degree program in Nutritional Sciences.
