Other tests for travelling

For the international transport of equids virological/ serological tests may be required. These are

• the COGGINS-Test (agar gel immune diffusion, AGID) to show that the animal is free from antibodies against equine infectious anemia virus (EIAV).
• Testing for antibodies against the equine arteritis virus (EAV) (serum neutralization assay) may be required.
