The story of the sunflower logo

The logo was designed by the patient organization FESCA, based on an idea of the Australian patient organization, which designed the original sunflower head. The australian patient organisation Scleroderma Australia has adopted the sunflower symbolic for the warmth of the sun, because people with systemic sclerosis feel usually more comfortable in warmer weather. We are glad to be allowed to use the sunflower as the logo for the DeSScipher project, to be spread all over the world to gain attention of systemic sclerosis.
