Work Place Allocation
General Situation at the GCSC
As a part of the second period of sponsorship through the Excellence Initiative, the Justus-Liebig-Universität has created additional work areas for doctoral students. The university has rented out two floors of centrally located office space in a building at Ludwigsplatz to be used by doctoral students. In addition to offices designed for two postdoctoral researchers or doctoral research associates, supplemental shared work spaces have been set up. In addition there is a seminar room and a smaller conference room for different types of collaboration. There are small kitchens located on both floors as well as a lounge area. The areas offer the opportunity for informal exchanges between the doctoral students and with the postdoctoral researchers. During the semester there will also be a `coffee´n`chat` every Tuesday afternoon from 15.00-17.00 with the postdoctoral researchers.
