Services for International Researchers
In supporting and assisting international researchers, the IPP closely collaborates with the International Office at JLU.
Furthermore, you will receive practical information and advice on all aspects of living and studying in Germany in our IPP tutorials: these events will introduce participants to the characteristics of academic research and academic writing in Germany as compared to the traditions of academic research and writing in other countries. A German language course offered specifically for international doctoral researchers in the Humanities will help you acquire language skills for coping in everyday situations as well as academic contexts. Various extracurricular activities organised by the IPP throughout the semester are based on the international focus of our PhD programme.
Events for International PhD students
The International Office of the Justus-Liebig University organises a programme with cultural events for international doctoral researchers of all disciplines. Please find the current schedule of events and further information here.
For more details and to be included in the mailing list please send an e-mail to the International Office.
The International Forum
The IPP strongly supports the International Forum, an initiative launched by postgraduate members of the GGK/GCSC/IPP to address the wishes and needs of international doctoral researchers at JLU and to foster dialogue between German and international students.
