This preparatory workshop is mandatory for participants of the XI Lisbon Summer School, the Hermes Summer School, the European Summer School in Cultural Studies (ESSCS) and the TransHumanities Summer School.
The session will cover the following topics: Preparing your presentation, the use of handouts and PowerPoint presentations, networking (online and offline). Additionally, we will discuss your abstracts and paper outlines together.
Please send your revised abstracts and/or a rough paper outline (max. 2 pages) to Daria Steiner and Hannah Klaubert by 1st June so we can prepare our feedback and share your materials with the group.
There will be opportunity for more detailed feedback on your individual papers in an open consultation hour with the IPP and PhD Net coordinators on 8th June between 2 and 4pm.
Please note: The submission timeline for participants in the Lisbon Summer School is different since you are asked to submit a full paper to the organizers by 30th May. Please send a first draft of the paper to Daria Steiner and Hannah Klaubert by 19th May. We will provide you with feedback on 21st May latest and there will be a consultation hour to talk through your individual papers on 25th May from 10am to 12pm.
