Methods of Management Research
The GGS peer mentoring group "Methods of Management Research" introduces itself.
Management research examines processes connected to managing organisations. It attempts to have a high practical relevance, and develops from a purely economic science into a real and applied science which, to a varying extent, draws on insights from other disciplines, especially from the field of work and organisational psychology. Thus it is imperative for junior scientists to orient their own research towards an interdisciplinary approach.
Thus, for management research the existing combination of group members hailing from the economic science disciplines “Personnel and Organisation“ and “Strategic and International Management“ and members from the field of “Work and Organisational Psychology“ is virtually ideal for a joint study of methods of management research and a critical reflection from the different points of. This way, the best possible exchange between the respective sciences is granted.
