Understanding, Experiencing and Successfully Completing Peer Review Processes
The GGS peer mentoring group "Understanding, Experiencing and Successfully Completing Peer Review Processes" introduces itself.
The peer mentoring group’s aim is to understand the procedures of peer review and to experience them. It is the aim to obtain the skills necessary to successfully complete such a process. The focus lies on all components of giving and receiving feedback in the form of assessments, while also heeding the formal aspects of a peer review process (e.g. formulating a letter to the reviewers/the editor). In addition, aspects of content (e.g. choice of the theoretical foundation, arguing hypotheses) and methodology (e.g. choice, use and report of methods) are to be worked out in order to further improve the quality of the group members’ respective work.
Activities During the Winter Semester 2015/2016:
A group internal two-tier peer review process incl. reflection and feedback sessions.
Activities During the Summer Semester 2016:
Workshop concerning the peer review process with Professor Lisa Scheer of the University of Missouri. Professor Scheer is, amongst other things, a member of the editorial review board of the Journal of Marketing and of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science.
