Science Mentoring at the JLU Giessen
The GGS peer mentoring group "Science Mentoring at the JLU Giessen" introduces itself.
Inspired by the Giessen Graduate Centre for Social and Economic Sciences and Law (GGS), Jana Brandt, Tabea Hirth, Dr Stefanie Kaiser, Dr Tobias Keller, Dr Lars Matysiak and Dr Johannes Paha founded the peer mentoring group “Science Mentoring at the JLU Giessen“ in the autumn of 2012. Due to the constant change of group members, a new generation of junior scientists now continues the group. Central aim of our group is to strengthen our research accomplishments in order to further and support an academic career. More specifically, we want to jointly increase our expert knowledge and our knowledge of methods to foster interdisciplinary skills and to enhance our networking skills. To realise these aims, we plan various workshops with external speakers in the fields of empirical research. But also the ongoing exchange between group members concerning individual research projects is not to be missed out on. This is why we meet regularly to receive each other’s feedback.
We are looking forward to exciting workshops and thank our advisers Prof Dr. Martin Glaum and Prof Dr Jürgen Meckl for their support.
