Projects of the ZMI
The Centre for Media and Interactivity bundles areas of research which deal with the concept of interactivity and the various impacts of interactive digital media. The primary focus is on the transdisciplinary "paradigm interactivity" in respect to its cultural, social, economic, legal and political dimensions.
In this areas you can find more information about our two current main research projects.
Research-based cooperation models at ZMI
The ZMI initiates and supports research projects in various forms of work. On the one hand, the Center has launched and coordinated larger research networks as a leading institution in recent years. On the other hand, the ZMI participates in the organization and implementation of planned or approved projects by its members. This includes the initiation, application and implementation of media-related research projects. Within this framework, various cooperation models have been developed. The following overview gives you an insight into different forms of participation. Please feel free to contact us.
|Own research initiatives||
Research projects, research focuses and associations among others with cooperation partners at other universities, colleges, research institutions at whom ZMI was initiator, provided a speaker or carried out subprojects.
Examples: Interactive Science, Cultural Techniques and their Mediatization, GeoBib
Cooperation projects on media-related topics in which the ZMI curated subprojects but has not been the lead manager, spatially affiliated at ZMI, close content-related cooperations, administrative processing
Example: Virtual reconstructions in transnational research environments
Support of developing project ideas, assistance at the application stage, administratin and support of technical questions, web presence on ZMI homepage and public relations, use of space capacities, scientifical support on projects of others
Examples: migr@com, CLARIN-D, News to use
