Media and Interactivity - Research at the ZMI

Media and interactivity  Research at the ZMI

The research of the centre is oriented to media-related transformations and breakthroughs of how digital formats have established themselves and influenced nearly all aspects of life. Digitalisation implies the automation, expedition, interconnectedness, and algorithmisation of everyday life. Digitalisation brings new hybrid forms of reading, writing, and communication, both in speech and writing. Meanwhile our understanding of interaction, interactivity, cooperation, and collaboration, as well as our perspective on information, knowledge, and education, changes. As a result, new views develop on politics, participation, public life, society, stakeholders, education, identity, habitus, and gender.
