Moot Courts
Bei einem Moot Court handelt es sich um einen Wettbewerb im Rahmen der juristischen Ausbildung bei dem den Studierenden ein in der Regel fiktiver Fall zugeteilt wird, in dem sie jeweils eine der Prozessparteien vertreten müssen.

Moot Courts werden auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene organisiert. Dabei treten Studierende aus aller Welt gegeneinander an und messen ihre Argumentationen vor einem fiktiven Gericht, dass sich aus erfahrenen Rechtswissenschaftlern aus Lehre und Praxis zusammensetzt.
Studierende des FB 01 der JLU haben die Möglichkeit am Justus-Liebig Moot Court oder Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot teilzunehmen.

- The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is the biggest commercial arbitration Moot in the world. Every year around 250 Universities from all around the world take part in this amazing event. In the Moot, Students have to put themselves in the role of a company's counselor. They write Memoranda and defend their clients orally in different pleadings. The whole proceedings are in English. To prepare for the big finals in Vienna and/or Hong Kong, the JLU team travels to different cities and countries, meeting teams from other universities and getting to know the most renowned law offices in the world.
