    Gegenstand der Veranstaltung ist die Funktionsweise und Bedeutung von Wettbewerb in einer Marktwirtschaft. Die Veranstaltung vermittelt zunächst die für die Analyse von Wettbewerbsverhalten und -ergebnis nötigen industrieökonomischen Methoden. Der wirtschaftpolitische Schwerpunkt liegt auf potentiell wettbewerbswidrigen Verhaltensweisen von Unternehmen. Die Veranstaltung bietet einen Einblick in Grundlagen des deutschen, europäischen und US-amerikanischen Wettbewerbsrechts und stellt den Beitrag ökonomischer Analysen in der Arbeit der Wettbewerbsbehörden vor.
