My current research focuses on the parliamentary control of military missions in a comparative perspective. I have a broader interest in changing patterns of cooperation within Euro-Atlantic defense cooperation, including its foreign policies, practices of cooperation in NATO, and practice theory.

In my PhD project, I have investigated French security and defense discourses on NATO and European cooperation and their underlying identity constructions. My research gives testament to changes in the French conceptualization of the European security and defense architecture. It suggests a normalization of French CSDP policies, unveils an concomitant, ex-post re-signification of NATO reintegration, and it pleads for a new French foreign policy identity and approach to security and defense cooperation that bear broader consequences for Euro-Atlantic cooperation.
