Vortrag: "The Equivariant Spectral Flow and Bifurcation of Periodic Solutions of Hamiltonian Systems

Abstract

In the frst part of this talk, we review the construction of the spectral fow and its application to bifurcation theory. The second part of our talk introduces a generalisation of the spectral flow to operators that are equivariant under the action of compact Lie groups. Finally, we discuss an application to bifurcation of periodic solutions of autonomous Hamiltonian systems that are equivariant under a type of group action that was considered by Bartsch and Willem in 1994.
