Scholarships

There are no separate scholarships issued by the PhD programmer. However, many of the projects are embedded within the framework of international and national graduate colleges, which receive third party funding.  Other projects are funded by the host institution of the respective supervisor. Please contact your supervisor for further details.

Alternative sources of funding are the Research Grants and Study Scholarships offered by the DAAD, located in Bonn. These scholarships are granted for the entire 3-year period of the research course. They often include a German language course and pay ca. 895 Euros per month plus travel expenses. The deadline for application is generally in October/November for courses starting in October of the following year.
