Liza B. Bauer studied Anglophone Literature, Language, and Culture at the universities of Marburg and Giessen and completed her M.A. with a thesis on the representation of human-animal relations in William Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience (1789), which has been published by the Büchner-Verlag, Marburg in 2019. As a current member of the GCSC and the IPP, she is working on her dissertation which carries the working title, Livestock in the Laboratory of Literature: Farm Animal Representations in Anglophone Literary Thought Experiments. Her project is funded by the JLU's graduate scholarship since 2019 and in addition she is working as a research assistant at the IPP. She further functions as one of the co-speakers of the GGS section 'Human-Animal Studies' and is an active member of RA9 'Ecology and the Study of Culture' and of the Cultural and Literary Animal Studies (CLAS) network under Prof. Roland Borgards at the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt.
