Again in 2014, the GGL is excited to announce that Sci-Mento will be a part of our Career Day providing information about its services to female doctoral researchers.
The GGL has been working together with SciMento since 2010 to improve career prospects for female doctoral students pursuing academic careers. SciMento encourages and supports female doctoral students and postdocs from the natural, life and engineering sciences. The long-term goal of the programme is to increase the number of female professors in these disciplines and in scientific and academic management. SciMento aids young, female scientists in their early professional endeavours with guidance from other scientists and a mentor for two years. Currently SciMento is inviting applications for their new programme starting in 2014.
SciMento also offers participants a variety of workshops and training opportunities. Participants can improve skills they personally deem important. SciMento even offers English workshops in Hesse, even for non-members. During the GGL Career Day, Dr. Gitta Brüschke will give an introduction to the mentoring scheme. If you are curious about SciMento and would like to learn more about how to become a mentee, please register for the workshop at the GGL Career Day and visit the SciMento website.
Registration for this workshop is required with the online registration form.
