10.01.2022 - SDGnexus Network researcher, Dr. Sarah Robinson, highlights mobile pastoralism as an important livestock production strategy in Kazakhstan in a new published paper

Dr. Sarah Robinson and her co-authors argue that Kazakhstan's farmers may not follow the intensive ranching pathways found elsewhere in the world because large herds are more mobile than small ones. Moreover, they highlight that larger farms face barriers to intensification, while smallholders lack access to pastures.
