Das Studentenwerk Gießen gibt gemeinsam mit dem Akademischen Auslandsamt einen Überblick über die verschiedenen Möglich­keiten ein Studium zu finanzieren. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an ukrainische und internationale Studierende, die aus der Ukraine geflüchtet sind, sowie an Studieninteressierte. Es wird um Sozialleistungen wie BAföG und SGB II, Stipendien, Nebenjobs bis hin zu Studienkrediten gehen. Die Veranstaltung findet zeitgleich auf Deutsch und Englisch statt. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht notwendig.

How to finance your studies – for Ukrainian and international students having fled the war in Ukraine

Studentenwerk Gießen and the International Office of JLU offer an overview of the different ways to finance your studies in Germany. This information session is aimed at Ukrainians currently enrolled as exchange or free-moving students at JLU and at international students who have fled the war in Ukraine and all other prospective international students. Topics will include social grants such as BAföG (state mechanism for education funding) and SGB II (unemployment benefit), scholarships, part-time jobs and study loans. The information session will be held in German and English at the same time. Registration is not required.
