Teaching Evaluation Service
Welcome to the English page of the Teaching Evaluation Service at Justus Liebig University Giessen!
On the left side of the navigation you will find, for example, the possibilities of student course feedback ("Student Course Evaluation") for lecturers in all faculties and centres.
Evaluation at Justus Liebig University Giessen is an elementary component of quality assurance in teaching and studying. To be able to give systematic feedback to lecturers, the Teaching Evaluation Service was established in 2010. It is a central concern to enable lecturers and students to enter into a dialogue about good teaching and thereby to further improve the quality of teaching. In addition to collecting student course feedback, the Teaching Evaluation Service uses the existing infrastructure to conduct ist own central surveys and studies and to support departments with surveys and empirical studies. The service center's data portal, which was introduced mid-2014, provides a good overview of the variety of results of all survey instruments.
Justus Liebig University offers support for the systematic recording of student course feedback ("teaching evaluation") to lecturers in all faculties and centres. Here you can find out how to use this central service for your courses and you can also find information on how student course feedback is recorded at JLU.
How to get the most out of student feedback: This recommendation was jointly developed at JLU Giessen by the Chair of Higher Education Didactics & Evaluation and the Teaching Evaluation Service Office to support lecturers in making course evaluation as useful and needs-oriented as possible for their courses.
