BabyFaceSpeech

M.Sc. Anna Krasotkina und Dr. Julia Dillmann

In this project, we investigate the interaction between face and speech processing in monolingual and bilingual infants. For this purpose, we present European or Chinese faces, combined with either German or French sentences to the infants. We measure infants gaze behaviour using an eye tracker.

Early child development is strongly influenced by what a child experiences in his/her daily life. The ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic has a massive impact on the daily lives of almost any family. In our current questionnaire study, we aim to investigate in how far these changes influence the social-emotional development of infants and children as well as parental well-being. The chosen questionnaires assess how parents and children deal with and experience the current situation.

Clubfoot

Dr. Julia Dillmann

In this project, we are interested in the development of children with congenital idiopathic clubfoot. We are particularly interested in the development of spatial-cognitive, language, gross and fine motor skills in the first years of life. Another important issue motivating our research is the social and emotional development. Additionally, we address the question how the parents deal with the impairment of their children.
