The Master Class discusses the question how far the new law “On ensuring the functioning of Ukrainian as the state language” responds to the language situation in Ukraine, i.e. to the coexistence of state language and minorities languages. Two experts from the National University of Kiev will moderate the class: Prof. Orysia Demska will analyse the general statements and Liudmyla Pidkuimukha will provide insights into the actual language situation.
