DFH-Dissertationspreis an GCSC-Alumna Sahra Rausch/ DFH Dissertation Prize for GCSC Alumna Sahra Rausch

Das GCSC freut sich seiner Alumna Dr. Sahra Rausch zum diesjährigen Dissertationspreis der Deutsch-Französischen Hochschule (DFH) zu gratulieren. Die DFH zeichnet am 26. Januar 2023 im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten zum 60. Jahrestag des Elysée-Vertrags herausragende Studierende und Absolvent_innen ihrer binationalen und trinationalen Studiengänge sowie die besten deutsch-französischen Doktorarbeiten aus. Unter 20 Preisträger_innen wird Dr. Sahra Rausch der „Prix européen“ für ihre Dissertation zum Thema „Verstrickte Emotionen: Transnationale Perspektiven auf postkoloniale Erinnerungspolitiken in Deutschland und Frankreich seit den 1990er Jahren“ verliehen. Die Arbeit wurde im Co-tutelle-Verfahre von Prof. Dr. Corine Defrance der Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne und Prof. Dr. Andreas Langenohl von der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen betreut.

The GCSC is pleased to congratulate its alumna Dr. Sahra Rausch on receiving this year's Dissertation Award from the Franco-German University (DFH). The DFH awards outstanding students and graduates of its bi-national and tri-national programmes as well as the best Franco-German doctoral theses on January 26, 2023 as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty. Among 20 laureates, Dr. Sahra Rausch will receive the “Prix européen” for her dissertation on “Entangled Emotions: Transnational Perspectives on Postcolonial Memory Politics in Germany and France since the 1990s” (“Verstrickte Emotionen: Transnationale Perspektiven auf postkoloniale Erinnerungspolitiken in Deutschland und Frankreich seit den 1990er Jahren”). The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Corine Defrance of the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and Prof. Dr. Andreas Langenohl of the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen in a co-tutelle process.
