What are the aims of the Deutschlandstipendium?

The “Gesetz zur Schaffung eines nationalen Stipendienprogramms” (Law for the Creation of a National Scholarship Program) aims to promote gifted and high-performing students at universities in Germany with a scholarship of € 300 per month. Private sponsors (e.g. alumni, businesses and foundations) donate half of the scholarship - the Federal Government provides the other half.
