How are the scholarship recipients selected?

The primary selection criterion for the Deutschlandstipendium is excellent academic performance. First-semester students need their college/university entrance certificate for the performance evaluation. In addition to academic achievement, the criteria include social commitment and special personal challenges or obstacles in the recipients family (or social) background.
