Will the Deutschlandstipendium replace the BAföG (Federal Training Assistance Act)?

The scholarship is awarded without consideration of personal or parent income. It does not count towards grants awarded under the BAföG. The Deutschlandstipendium is thus a supplement to the BAföG grants. Scholarship holders can combine both support measures without restrictions. The BAföG Office must nonetheless be informed of the receipt of a Deutschlandstipendium.
