JLU participates in a national consortium for Sage Journals Online in the publish & read model (transformation model). Within this framework, Sage grants Corresponding Authors of participating institutions the following conditions:

 
Publication in a hybrid journal

In more than 650 hybrid journals from Sage ("SAGE Choice"), Corresponding Authors of JLU can place their articles Open Access free of charge. If you publish in a hybrid journal, you will be contacted by the publisher. Please use your institutional email address.

Publication in a gold open access journal

When publishing in a genuine open access journal ("Sage Open"), the APC for Corresponding Authors of JLU is reduced by 20% compared to the list price. This discount is automatically granted by the publisher. Please be sure to use your institutional email address.
