We invite you to meet the project Farming the Uncanny Valley (https://www.farming-the-uncanny-valley.net). The project unites social scientists, artists and designers who jointly investigate emerging feelings of uneasiness in our society concerning current biotechnological developments. Their aim is to use this investigation as a starting point for an open discourse and to develop new possibilities for public communication and participation in the complex topic of biotechnology.
They chose JLU as one of their stops to introduce the project because they would like to explore the topic of insect biotechnology as well as the loss of insect biodiversity.
Speakers: Jannis Hülsen, Olaf Arndt, Janneke Schönenbach und Lukas Stopczynski (Berlin)
