Members of the SFB 1213 and everybody who is interested
Prof. Dr. med. Danny Jonigk FRCPath is specialist for pathology and senior physician at the Hannover Medical School. In his talk "Pulmonary hypertension – the pathologist's perspective" he will present his current research.
His working group is focused on 4 topics:
- Pulmonary Fibrosis
- Pulmonary arterial hypertension
- Infectious lung diseases
- Lung Cancer
His group is interested to elucidate the mechanisms controlling the progredient vascular remodelling in human PAH. Together with their collaboration partners they aim to identify optimal animal models of PH which closely mimic the pathophysiologic changes seen in human disease and use these to “reverse engineer” test findings from human patients in functional studies.
