Join the Reading Club for SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE
von 18:15 bis 20:00
|Wo||B340, Philosophikum I|
The Reading Club shall meet again on Tuesday, September 3rd at 6.15 pm in room B340 to discuss Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five (1969), a classic of postmodern literature and one of the most important anti-war novels.
Our good old-fashioned Reading Club provides a setting in which the “classics” are discussed in an informal way. This was inspired by three observations: one, there are way too many canonical literary works that we haven’t read – but probably should; two, it might be more fun to engage with these texts when we actually get the chance to discuss our reading experience afterwards; three, despite our passion for visual media, it is sometimes nice to return to the written word.
We usually meet once a month. Drop in for just one meeting, or two, or all! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re looking forward to seeing you and until then, have fun reading!
