Join the Reading Club for ORLANDO
von 18:15 bis 20:00
|Wo||B340, Philosophikum I|
Our next meeting shall be on Wed, June 13th, at 6.15 pm in room B340. This time, we’ll talk about Virginia Woolf’s popular novel Orlando: A Biography (1928), which covers a wide range of themes and motifs but has been of particular interest in terms of gender and sexuality.
The idea behind our project is a good old-fashioned Reading Club in which the “classics” are discussed in an informal setting. The Reading Club was inspired by three observations: one, there are way too many canonical literary works that we haven’t read – but probably should; two, it might be more fun to engage with these texts when you actually get the chance to discuss your reading experience afterwards; three, despite our passion for visual media, it is sometimes nice to return to the written word.
We are going to meet once a month. Drop in for just one meeting, or two, or all! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
We’re looking forward to seeing you and until then, have fun reading!
