From Catalogue to Book

Location and location mark of a book:

In the yellow marked field of the catalogue (OPAC) entry you will find information about the holding library, the location mark and the availability of the found book.

The location mark specifies the location of a book. In the open access area and in the textbook collection of the UB all books are freely accessible to the users. You can have a look at the exact location in the shelf via a link to the map of the reading room "Standort in der Bibliothek anzeigen" (Show location in the library).

Lendability:

  • "in der Regel ausleihbar" (usually borrowable)  =  4-week loan period
  • "Präsenzbestand" (reference collection) =  overnight and weekend loan
  • "Nicht ausleihbar" (non-circulating)  =  use in library only

 

For books published until 1986 the search result may be displayed in form of a digitised catalogue card . If you are not sure about location mark and location, please ask at the information desk.
