Starting June 1, 2026, corresponding authors from Justus Liebig University (JLU) Gießen receive a 25% discount on article processing charges (APC) when publishing in „Open Biology“ and „Royal Society Open Science“. To receive your discount, you have to indicate JLU Gießen as your primary institution during the submission process. The discount rates are valid until May 31, 2027. Since both journals are fully open access (so-called „gold open access“) journals, corresponding authors may apply for funding from our publication fund to subsidize the remaining APC. More information on gold open access funding can be found here.
