Print on Demand
The University Library does not currently offer its own print on demand service.
Until 2020, we had a cooperation with the provider tredition (https://tredition.de/). Under the label "Giessen University Library Publications", books could be published via tredition including ISBN.
Since 2021, however, you can create or submit a publication on your own responsibility via the main tredition website (https://tredition.de/). In our experience, tredition offers a good price-performance ratio and a good platform.
For technical reasons, however, the university library can no longer support the process directly. You work independently with your own account and conclude a contract directly with tredition for each work. Books published via tredition can be purchased via bookshops, but also via online retailers such as Amazon and tredition's own shop (https://tredition.de/buchshop/).
