Institute of Physics (IOP) – OA publishing contigent

For 2026

JLU participates in the national consortium for the IOP journals (contract period: 2026-2028). JLU Corresponding Authors have the opportunity to publish Open Access articles free of charge in 57 hybrid journals and 24 Gold Open Access journals*. All articles of the type primary research article are covered (incl. research papers, special issue articles, letters and review articles**).

IOP identifies JLU Corresponding Authors articles based on their stated institutional affiliation.
JLU Corresponding Authors are informed during the peer review process about the possibility to publish in Open Access without additional costs.

A guide to submitting under a transformative agreement is offered by IOP.

 *Note: For the journals Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, Nuclear Fusion and Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific there is an additional cost in the form of page charges.

**Reviews in the journal Reports on Progress in Physics are not covered by this agreement.
