The purpose of this work is to at least partially explain
the experimental observation of chaotic solutions of delay equations
with sine-like periodic feedback, by description of a mechanism
that creates such behavior. Further, we look for examples given by
analytical expressions which are as simple as possible.
As main result, we obtain explicit equations which have
solutions wandering between different levels that may be
prescribed arbitrarily.
