Teaching

The Chair of Industrial Economics, Competition Policy and Regulation is involved in the basic microeconomic education in the first semesters of the Business Administration and Economics program. In the further course of the Bachelor's program, the Chair of Economics I offers an introduction to competition economics based on industrial economics. This is aimed at both economics and business administration students.

Based on the methods of industrial economics and regulation theory, the master modules deal with the functioning of markets, the importance of the regulatory framework of an economy and the role of competition supervision and sector-specific regulation. The modules provide an introduction to the economic methods used in antitrust and regulatory practice. The teaching programme is rounded off by interdisciplinary and cross-faculty seminars on current competition policy and regulatory economics issues.

The courses of the Chair of Industrial Economics, Competition Policy and Regulation are offered in German for the Bachelor's program and in English for the Master's program.
