Open Call for the Conference "In turn - Choreographies of Change."
We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the upcoming Symposium of the Society for Dance Research (gtf): “In turn – Choreographies of Change,” taking place in Frankfurt am Main & Gießen (15-17 October 2026)
The symposium focuses on the multilayered notion of change, encompassing desire and hope, as well as loss and repair, and approaches it through a perspective of dance and choreography with proximity to other disciplines.
It is organized in cooperation with the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK), the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen, and the Master Programme of Performative Arts in Social Fields at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, and is funded by the Hessian Theater Academy.
We welcome academic and artistic proposals (workshops, panels, and interventions) as well as submissions to the Emerging Scholars Forum.
